Has anyone been to "Coin de Tranquille" near Grenoble---looks very nice---would appreciate your comments

We spent two weeks here in the summer of 2003, during the big heatwave. We thought it a very pleasant site, with an excellent restaurant. The pool area looked good and was well used (although not by us - not our sort of thing, really). The shop was very small, but carried all essentials and there was a decent Champion supermarket in Les Abrets, just down the road. Sanitary facilities were sometimes a bit stretched (this was in July), but of a good standard. Pitches were of a decent size, with reasonable access.

The area is also very interesting with masses of places to visit. We would certainly go back, although perhaps not during a heatwave, if we could avoid it!

We stayed there last summer for 6 nights. Very nice site with excellent restaurant/food and good value. It is used by the locals so must be good. We had a good sized pitch for our twin axle 'van and were near the new large toilet block. There are other small blocks around the site, and these are ok but not up to the standard of the new block. There are closed for thorough cleaning each day. Plenty of walking in the area and interesting trips out. We especially enjoyed a visit to the Green Chartreuse caves. In fact for a return visit we would stay longer.

we've been four times to this site and love it. Excellent situation, very clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff plus lots to do and see in the area. You won't be disappointed. email me if you want more information

We stayed there 2 summers ago. We found it a very friendly and well run site although the pitches were a bit small. The weekly bbq run by the site owners is to be recommended.
