I am thinking of going to Alton Towers next October half term and would like some recommendations for caravan sites within a 10 mile radius of the theme parks.

The site would ideally have EHU and Toilet/Shower block, but on-site Shop/Bar/Entertainment not essential. It would also have to be willing to accomodate a large group (Rallies) of around 20 vans.

The Star Caravan park great park with all the facilities you are looking for and only approx 2 miles from alton towers.
 
We have recently come back from The Caravan Club's site at Uttoxeter racecourse. Set in a lovely location the site is ideally located for Alton Towers, which is only a few miles away.

Apart from the shower block being a wee bit dated, the site is within walking distance of Uttoxeter and we had the bonus of staying whilst tere was a race meeting taking place on the Thursday. Free entry to the course was an aded bonus.
