:woohoo:
Well I have just arrived back home after two weeks on a lovely CS. Site close to Chichester in Hampshire.
Any forum members who have read my previous posts will know that I am a fan of the air awnings and bought my Kampa when they first came out.
When I arrived at the CS Site after getting electricity and water sorted I started on the awning.
I threaded it through the rail and for some reason decided not to peg out the corners but pumped it up instead. A guy walking his dog spotted me and came to chat about air awnings. Of course me being a fan and a self appointed expert I gave him the full sales pitch ( but for fairness along with the negatives that I have found along the way) He went on his way so I decided to carry on with the pegging out.
I went across to the car and retrieved the box of pegs and mallet etc.
On turning around and looking at the van I could see no awning!
Well within the milliseconds that it took for me to realise what had actually happened I did in my mind illogically believe this guy had nicked it. However even though it wasn't a particularly windy day the breeze such as it was had blown the awning straight over the top of the van. The only way I could retrieve it was to deflate it and pull it back out of the awning rail.
I then had to start all over from scratch. My only bright spot whilst recovering my breath after the second session of pumping was that the dog walker hadn't spotted what happened and that the other caravans on site were unoccupied at the time.
So the moral of my tale is to always follow the instructions given at the time of purchase.
Best wishes to all
Brian
