In the recent high winds we noticed a 'flapping' sound from the roof of our 2008 Challenger 560. On investigation, the outer roof skin was seen to pant in the wind. The skin panel appears wavy.

Should the roof panel be bonded as the side panels are?

Hi

Our roof is a traditional semi-bonded roof which means the aluminium roof sheet is not bonded to the plywood insulation etc. The roof sheet isnd loose layed a secured around the perimiter and then additionally by the roof fittings (heki(s), skylights, aerial etc).

In the warm weather the roof sheet can and will expand.

Thanks

Andy
