I was talking to Graham from Caravan Finder TV at the NEC and he mentioned that Stowmarket Caravan have gone into liquidation, although the web site is still active. This info was also confirmed by someone else at the show
We do not have many dealers in North Essex or Suffolk so even less choice now.

Sir Roger, The closest to Martlesham are Sharman Caravans in Ipswich or Farnham leisure (formally David Hope Caravans)near Saxmundham.

In North Essex we have Homestead Caravans at Weeley and Caravan World at Thorrington

As they were probably there on the basis they belonged to Swift until paid for I assume they have been passed to other dealers. If I am wrong though look out for some bargains if the liquidator sells them on.

THe new caravan stock dealers carry is rarely actually owned by them. They are usually on site and owned either by the manufacturer, or they are owned by some financial service until the dealer actually arranges to sell one. The chances are the finance house will reclaim the unsold caravans and try to pass them to other dealers.

By all means look out for good deal, but don't don't hold your breath.
