HI Folks! Hamish and Denise here. We have been caravanning for 3 years and love it. We are self employed so this is the best type of holiday for us. Don't get away as often as we would like, but when we want towe can just 'hitch up' and go!

We have 2 dogs who love the caravan too. We mainly go to Glencoe on the west coast of scotland. Great views and loads of great walks too.

Although our caravan is 20 years old. A compass 420/2 it is excellent and we tow with a 1999 citroen synergie xtd loads of room for all that extra stuff you need to take and the dogs too!

Hi Hammish and Denise.

Welcome to caravanning. We hail from the welsh borders and there's plenty of border patrols from his lordship and colin of bridge end. Banter a plenty with no harm ment.

We are one of the Doggy types with two dirty great Ladradors. Our choclate one is sure to be part pony by his size.

Been caravanning for over twenty years and still not tired of it.

We did venture north of Glasgow two years ago to do the Fort William, Ardmir point and then back down the east side via Pitlochry and Edinburgh. Those peski midges had a five coarse meal out of me and even today I bear the scars. Very nearly ended up with blood poisoning, but still that did not put me off the area.

The only site I realy could not recomend was Faskally, the Glasweigen butlins so we found out after staying three nights.

Linwater caravan park at East Calder just outside Edinburgh was a jewel in the crown for us and deffinately on the return list.

We tow a Link 575 20 foot twin axle van of 1982 vintage behind our 1998 Laguna estate. I'm led to believe this van may be one of only twenty ever produced, and so afr have not come across another anywhere. But it suits us and is a dream to tow.

Happy touring.

Steve.
