Keeping the battery in the garage for now, vans kept in storage, left the last one in the van and the electrolyte level dropped and I didnt check it so when we had a week away recently on hook up, it damaged the battery, hopefully this won't be as likely as it is a sealed unit but keeping it where I can keep an eye on it for now, plus the optimate should keep it in good nick.
 
Just an update.

Just got back from the van, brought new connector, fixed the leak, charged the battery, switched on taps, hey presto I have running water, adjusted the pressure switch to stop pump running on, feeling quite pleased with myself at the moment!!

Will heat water tomorrow just to confirm all is ok.
