As an alternative to the Lexus 400h I was thinking of an Antara. I know it's not quite in the same league as the Lexus, but I can get 25% discount on a new Antara so I don't want to dismiss it completely. Anyone with any experience of an Antara, either solo or as a towcar?

Hi, I also bought a Captiva back in June for a bargain price & I can confirm it's an excellent tow car. I've driven over 3000 miles, about 500 of them towing my Elddis Avante 505 (max 1325kg) which it pulls effortlessly. The gearbox is loosening up nicely now. As far as economy goes it is a little disappointing but if your not in a rush & can resist taking it over 2000rpm it's much better. Recommended!!
