Antara tow bar fitting and electrics

Hi does anyone know if the Vauxhall Antara has a dedicated loom for towing electrics?? Im getting a tow bar fitted soon and been advised the car has trailer stability control. How does the trailer stability control work? is there is something in the cars wiring loom for the stability control?

well the answer is yes you need a dedicated wiring so the the trailer stability control can work, also there is lights on the dash which work once you have the correct tow bar and electrics fitted, you can also only get 13 pin.

Trailer stability control works much on the same principle as a caravan electronic stabiliser like AlKo's ATC or similar ones. The car's brakes are applied when the back of the car senses a sway from side to side. This actuates the caravan's overrun brake, thereby restoring stability.
