any major roadworks

We will be travelling down A1 - A14 heading for Ipswich and would like to know if there are any major roadworks on this route. I know there was work going on at Blyth but dont know if this is finished or others that we dont know about.

I went through the Blyth roadworks last week when the M1 was closed due to the floods. We were only delayed by about 10 minutes.

The only thing to watch for are the idiots that come hurtling up the outside lane then force their way in, rather than merging with the rest of the traffic, and waiting their turn.

Hi geordie,

Traverling back down the A1 from Thirsk to Peterborough 1st of June there where several roundabouts under reconsruction

to enable the road to be upgraded to motorway standards.

Cannot comment on the A14 used to use it,but nowadys find the M11 onto the A120 much easier.I live 19 miles from Ipswich in Essex.
