Has any one had experience of caravan guard insurance for there van?
I'm usually a stickler and go with one of the two main clubs.
I have obtained a quote from them but there is no policy to read !
So at this stage Im unaware of there true cover.
I will of course ask them for a policy to read but was just wondering on peoples experiences with claims etc.

You access policy details via the Clubs’ websites?

The link you provided is for the CAMC Caravan Cover, OP was referring to Caravan Guard which is based out of Halifax, Looking at their site it does appear that there is a link to policy documents: https://www.caravanguard.co.uk/tour...T676&sourcebusID=3NG8R027&activityID=3ONROFL1 . The Policy wording itself can be found here: https://www.caravanguard.co.uk/downloads/touring_caravan_policy_booklet-230821.pdf .

Well there you go. I read Kevs third paragraph as a continuation of his second paragraph. 🤭

Any insurance is only as good as its performance when a claim arises.
Perhaps people's experience in that situation would be most helpful.
This is what I was also looking for really, real reports from real claims from real caravaners.

I also found the policy after taking another look, thanks all.

For info there quote is £134.00 cheaper.

Also a long term Caravan Guard customer but never needed to test the performance in event of a claim! From experience their price is competetive as you posted while I was typing. Also read excellent reviews 4.9/5 on Trustpilot!

Another happy customer, no sneaky clauses Like Towergate who don't cover your caravan if unhitched unless you pay an additional premium (See the other thread re storing in France or Spain for proof)
English speaking agents, very clear with what is and isnt covered, competitive price. I have been using tgem for many years (but no claims made)

Another plus for Caravan Guard. I needed to leave my van unattended for more than 48hrs on a coupe of sites last year. Called them and gave the locations cover agreed FOC.

Thanks for all the replies, I started to read reviews on Trust Pilot and only found one person up to page 6 that had made a claim, and that was 20 years ago!!!
