Any wires near the door

My wife is finding it difficult to enter the caravan so I'm installing a Milenco Door Handle. This involves drilling eight small holes through the bodywork . I don't think there are any wires within six inches of the door frame but ,,,! Caravan is a 2013 Swift Conqueror and the handle will be fixed to the left of the door (Looking from the outside). Any guidance gratefully received.

Is this what you intend Fitting?

The attachment points have been designed to fasten at the very edge of the door frame panel which will of course be of solid construction. Thus it seems impossible there will be any hidden wires. Usually most wires are run in a small plastic conduit. Is your Swift a timber or Smart construction?
Have you looked at some videos of Swift caravans being made? That may put your mind at rest.

I fitted the Fiamma Security Door handle to my van. It requires four 6.5mm holes to be drilled in the wall with reinforcing plates and covers being fitted on the inside. Because of the partition for the end bathroom being close to the door, the handle needed to be fitted 60mm away from the door frame to give sufficient space for the fixings.
