anybody camped on the ile d'oleron

Hi all,we are heading down to the ile d'oleron later this year. Looking at a couple of sites on its west coast, anybody got any feed back or reports on this area please.

We went to Sequoia Park last year and had a day out on the island, lovely place although depending on when you go the route on and off the island can be a bit of a nightmare (heavily congested) sometimes stuck in queueing traffic for up to an hour. This being said it is a lovely area and if you have children a trip to the zoo at La Palmyre is a must also Royan has some lovely seafood restaurants if you like that sort of thing.Go with your gut feeling and enjoy!!!!!
