These any good Sproket? Read varying reports that they're ok for larger bugs like wasps and bluebottles but the mesh is to big for the smaller things like midges.
Came across a clip on you tube where some is "turbo charging" their racquet by fitting bigger battery, think they said it tripled the voltage delivered!

We got our old one's back in 2009, and they do work better with new batteries fitted once in a while
We were down to one and we use it in the house as well as the van so today the new one's are in the van.
If there is moisture passing between the wires with good batteries it will do the trick

The idea is to kill the flies Sprocket, not yourself. We don't stick around to breathe the stuff in ourselves.

Come on Sproket you're using it for sport, (nearest you'll get to big game hunting?) - we tried/had/have one somewhere, they have to surrender before you get near 'em! A few more kamikaze bugs and they would be effective!
Still it was fun trying, but a full size 'Slazenger' would be more effective.(It amused granddaughter for a while), but I'm certain you could hear the bugs 'laughing' at the killing attempts as they flew away! Having "missed" again.

All is clear now. I thought you were using the can to swat them.
I just show the can to them and they clear off :p

What you do is let them land and then cover them whilst keeping the power button held in ...... Some of the big ones smoke at bit at that point

I think they're great fun! Now wasps know how we feel when we get stung!
Two asthmatics in our van, Parksy, so cans are out,but they are effective.

After reading one or two horror stories involving owners opening their caravans at storage sites to discover plagues of flies of biblical proportions I usually give the fly killer a quick squirt before locking up ready for next time.
