We have made a prvisional booking at the above site for august,but have been asked to send a deposit by bank transfer(_100).has anyone had experiece of this before? Alternatively does anyone know of a booking agency I could use which may list this site?

Do you have ACSI Camping Card? because there is a site we stopped at on the Cinque Terre named La Sfinge at Deiva Marina. You can drive to the station and park the car to catch a train to visit all the towns getting on and off at will. I do not think you would have to pay such a large deposit there. If you are going out of season I would not bother to book. Hope this helps. You can see this site on www.campingcard.com
 
Hi dianne. We did try camping sfinge but it was booked up for august. As my wife is a teacher we are limited to school holidays. Thanks anyway
