Argente caravans (disabled user)

Are there any comments on either the Argente 530-5 or 540-4 models? they appear to be very similar. The layout (from diagrams) shows a reasonable sizes area in front of the side bathroom, we need a good area due to the fact that we have a non-mobile disabled son who requires lifting on to the toilet and in to the shower.

Avondale have sent me a list of suppliers but none of them who are a reasonable distance from home have any stock for us to inspect. Thanks in anticipation. Tony

Hi Tony

I don't know if it is only Avondale caravans you are looking at but I have been researching a new caravan for myself for some time now.

I am wheelchair dependant and have been trying to find a manufacturer who will either carry out a conversion or point me to someone who can carry out such an adaptation.

I was looking for a wider door opening and access to the toilet.

There are numerous companies out there that I have managed to contact. If you require a full list with all of my findings I can get it to you.

Drop me an email to: dougyjo@lycos.co.uk

I did find a company, Fry's who have converted vans but as mentioned there are other people out there willing to help people with disabilities.

I have spent months researching a new van for myself so I may have some useful information for you.

Cheers

Dougy
