i tow with a 2012 astra 2.0cdti 165hp elite and its a lovely tow car. ive towed upto 1500kg and still has plenty of power to keep up with the traffic.i tow my van at 1100kg and its superb towing or solo

Have managed to get the mileage to over 1,000 now on the new tug, :woohoo: so hitched up the van in the week and took it for a 50 mile trial run, using a mixture of dual carriageways, hills, twisty A- and B-roads, etc. I am pleased with it but do notice the reduction in power from 150 PS (Vectra) to 130 PS. As long as I keep the revs slightly higher than before when accelerating it's OK. Road tax the first year = zero, and £20 per year for subsequent years [beggars can't be choosers]. I am towing at about 79%.

It will be on display at Stowford and tickets will be 1 pint each

According to my sources, the kerbweight of the variant in question is 1503kg.

Thank you Lutz, the V5C confirms 1503kg for MIS, to which I've added an allowance for the towbar to estimate the kerbweight (as suggested in the Vauxhall Handbook for my previous car).
