Anyone been to the atlantic coast,thinking of going next august, been looking at pavillon royal,seen it on cc website looks ok. Any other sites nearby comments welcome. dont fancy long drives on holiday as drive hgv all week so sites near port would be better,thanks
 
Hi Patey, been to Pavillon Royale twice in high summer and have enjoyed the area, this site is next to the beach. On both occasions we were allocated a pitch alongside a hedged footpath which leads down to the beach and the noise during the early hours was a minor problem, caused by local youth and holidaymakers arriving or leaving the beach all night, but no trouble or vandalism. When we arrived on the second occasion we asked not to be pitched by this footpath but were told that all other pitches were in use and had no choice ...... but .... as I said earlier it is a nice site and very close to other Basque areas to visit. Due to location the weather can be unpredictable and wet - hence the name Green Spain which is close by. Go for it and enjoy your holiday like we did, dont be put off by the noisy footpath as your pitch may be well away from it. Good luck, Tony
