audable warning on caravans

Does the law require you to have a compulsary audible warning in your car to show that your trailer or caravan indicators are operating.
Comments would be appreciated.

It is a legal requirement.-in the case of my Ford, the normal flash with its normal beep indicates all is well and flashes (and beeps) at a much increased rate if not.

NO, it is not compulsory to have an audible warning.
The law states that you must have a warning , either audible or visual,.
Many cars have inbuilt visual warning that ther is a bulb failure.
