autogas for caravans?

Hi Nick

Search the internet under "gaslowe" and you will find refillable cylinders suitable for caravans. I fitted the system to my van and now fill up when I fill the car. L believe there are a few similiar threads already non the forum as well if you look,

Currently it is illegal on most UK garage forecourts to refill portable gas containers.

Permanently installed tanks on cars are permitted, but how that relates to permanent tanks on trailers I am not sure.
 
Hi Nick and John,

the gaslow system uses an external filler of the same type as autogas modded cars and the system is designed to be refillable. I am not sure as you point out as to the legalities of forecourt filling, but to date have never been refused use of the pumps. Also the manufacturers website states that the system is EU approved so I assume that would cover forecourt refilling? Their website is www.gaslow.co.uk
