Hi Andrea, I have fitted the Kathrein fully automatic system to my van and my friends van with no problems ,but due to the weight and stress from the wind when it is raised it needs to be fitted to a very stable area of the roof, my van has the full size fridge in a floor to ceiling cupboard ,the dish is mounted directly above and fastened down into the cupboard framework making it very stable, I have had this system for 18 months and have had no problems at all ,its great you just pull up on site connect to EHU and swithch on and it goes up and locates sat while your setting up so when you sit down for a cupper tv is up and running

Hi we have the Camos dome fitted to our van - also had it fitted to our previous van for 2 years. Great bit of kit, no problems at all, we choose the camos for 2 mains reasons - it is not affected by wind ( we live in the north of Scotland) and it can by moved to another caravan or motorcaravan easily.

We have found reception very good so far - used it in the southern Alsace, Germany, Luxembourg and the Netherlands last year. Good reception anywhere in UK.

We have the 40 cm dome. They now have a slightly lower dome which must be even better.

Hi Andrea

I used to have an Oyster dish fitted to the roof, but used to have to put it down in windy weather.

On my new van I have had a Camos dome fitted. Only used in the uk so far but appears to be excellent.
