Autotrader

I am about to buy an Eccles Opal using a Hyundai Tucson as a tow car. However autotrader quote the max towing wt as 750kgs. As I am new to caravaning I am now also confused. Both What Towcar.com and the good people of this forum seem to feel there is not a practical problem with this combination, so can someone explain what this figure represents?

Sounds as though Autotrader is quoting the towload limit for an unbraked trailer. The maximum braked towload (and the Eccles Opal most certainly has brakes) for a Tucson is bound to be higher. You will find it either from the vehicle's VIN plate by deducting the gross vehicle weight from the gross train weight or from the V5c certificate.
