Hi there, I am thinking of trading in my Elddis Autoquest 180 for an Autotrail Cheyenne 696G 2008 model. It is on Fiat Ducato base with 3.0MJTD 160 BHP. Most models I have looked at are 2.3litre.
Can anyone offer any advice / opinions / experiences, good or bad, on this particular model?
Many thanks.

Hi Killiepie
IMHO the 3.0L engine is a must for a large tag axle van. The 2.3L may be more popular but would be inadequate for a 5tonne MAM & 8.7m motorhome.
Also the 3.0L engine had few reports of the "juddergate" issue, often encountered with the 2.3L engine.
I don't have personal knowledge of Autotrail vans, but they are generally considered as the upper end of the market & Autotrail have their own "Service Centre" at their Grimsby factory, which is getting good reviews by users on other forums.

Hi Flicka,
Thanks for your reply. I'm inclined to agree with you having spoken to a chap recently who said that the 3 litre engine made all the difference.
Lost out on the one I posted about, but will now continue to watch for another. Many thanks again for your advice.
Killiepie
