I'm a new member on here, try as I might I do not see how to insert an avatar to my profile, is special permission required.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for that WoodlandsCamper, my reading of the Gravatar webpage is that my avatar would follow me around and be displayed on any sites I logged into using my email address (could be wrong on that though :lol: ).

Gravatar would also appear to be an information gathering site for data sales purposes, all in all, I will decline to use Gravatar, is there any other method of uploading an avatar?

I've not noticed anything like you mention and I use Gravatar, however I totally understand that people are cautious about how their data is used and so on – and rightly so!

At present, that is the only way to have an avatar on the Practical Caravan forum, although this is something we're looking to change. You could always set up a Gravatar account, monitor where the avatar appears and if you aren't happy with that, delete the account?
