Hello and welcome to the Forum.
I also have the two berth Avondale.
Mine also has the two gang door switch. The switch that illuminates the indicator is for the awning light the other for the central caravan light.
(Our vans central light also has its own integral switch the same as the other lights)

I don't know of any remote fuse associated with any of the van lighting. Just the ones in the central distribution point.
I suspect if things were ok before you changed the awning light fitting then you may have caused a fault whilst carrying out the change.
Damaged / trapped / shorted wire. For example.
You say that a fuse was blown it may be worth checking again to make sure the replacement hasn't also blown. The correct size fuse does blow quite quickly under certain fault conditions. Also by just double checking the work you have carried out. If the wires supplying the awning light are all you have disturbed then it's odds on the fault could be there.

I would suggest that if you are unable to see any evidence of a defect then you seek some help from an electrically trained person or a mobile caravan engineer.
I hope you soon get sorted I know how frustrating it can be when what seems a simple straight forward job suddenly causes problems.
Without being alarmist it is better to be safe than sorry regarding caravan electrics.

This type of problem is very difficult to diagnose unless you are actually at the caravan.
Best wishes Brian

Hello Brian C and Welcome to the Forum. Just something silly here .You are not by any chance hooked up to the car at this point. If so the habitation relay will have kicked in and your 12 Volt lights wont work. Just a suggestion.

Hello Sir Roger. That is a senario I hadn't thought of. Mind you I'm not the original poster of the problem but I'm sure your comment will be something for him/her to consider.
It's always difficult with electrical faults trying to diagnose from afar. The greatest problem being not wanting to give advice that may put the installation in danger of a short circuit with the obvious consequences of fire risk.
Best regards Brian

No problem Sir Roger. I'm not sure that Robert has seen either of our posts.
I believe his best course of action would be to get someone with a reasonable electrical knowledge and caravan or vehicle experience to have a look at his problem.
I hope he gets it sorted.

.........you may have reversed the wires when you fitted the new awning light. Try swapping them over.
Sometimes the position of the switched wire is critical.
