I have just tried to order an Avtex 10" tv for the caravan. A rather short tempered men said 'Out of stock and won't be getting any more in'!

Does anyone know if this model has been discontinued?

Having a two berth van, we only need a small tv, but perhaps not this model.
 
Ours was easy to get hold of about three years ago but it seems many people want the biggest they can fit in, like they do at home so they may of discontinued it. Ours has been out of the box twice so at some point we'd best sell it!
 
Left a message at a business in Lincolnshire who are advertising 10" Avtex. Pity they are costing them at £298, all the one's at £249 are out of stock, understandably.

The Meos 13" are priced at £189, but do not have such good reviews, I prefer the price!

The kind man from Lincolnshire confirmed that they have been discontinued. He advised me to stay away from Meos/Cello. He has offered to look around his suppliers and see what he can come up with.

Looks as though we will have to make do with what we have and lose the use of one worksurface, as our tv takes up the whole area.

Teach me to dither around justifying spending money.

Well at last I have made the purchase...a 16" Avtex. John Lewis did have them in stock, tucked away on the bottom shelf. Had a 5 year guarantee, no worries.

I knew it was too good to to be true, the 'no worries' bit. I want to use a USB stick to record straight from the tv. Going through the procedure, the instructions say that it is checking the USB stick with a view to Formatting......but it just stays on this screen...'just checking'. Anyone done this......just how long does this take? It was still going after 2 hours, it is a 2gb stick.

Just hoping.......
 
Is it a new flash drive or one you've used before? If new then it's probably worthwhile formatting it on a PC/Laptop first.
