AVTEX L185DRS Television

Hi,
I'm thinking of upgrading our TV, and have been looking at these. Avtex inform me that they now have the "easy find" satellite software. Can you confirm that please?

Yeah its got it, Its really easy to use and alot faster too, its one of the main reasons I chose the L185 DRS, not only do you get a good size screen, The useage of the functions are pretty simple, Althought it has more features than My home LG 3D Tv and that has a lot on it!

Ours is a Kogan and it does the same job as the AVTEX for less than half the price!

You pays your money and you take your choice!!! I , along with many others ,have a Tag watch, I,m sure I could have got a watch that does the same job for a fraction of the price.....
I have yet to see a 12 volt TV that is in the same class, as Avtex... There is the old saying you get what you pay for

We have the Avtex but no freesat and been very pleased.Had aslight fault on playback of DVD and Avtex had it collected the next day ,DVD player replaced and returned the day after.Contrast with Curry's who have a six week window from when you return it before they will replace it and no loan set either.Worth every penny imho

That should be six months, not six weeks.

hi,

yeah have a Kogan which i use in my bedroom. ive hardly used it. 3 days past the warranty end date and the dvd player stopped working.
i contacted kogan and explained ut had hardly been used. they wouldnt even entertain it, not only that, the sound quality is very poor and can hardly understand it. i suppose you get what you pay for. My Avtex is awesome thanks to wayne and his team at direct leisure repairs for all the tech advise, support and information

just placed an order for the new one with the built in sat 18.5" through leisure direct, best price by far, thanks to the op for the information.

That should be six months, not six weeks.

To clarify,with Curry's who we bought a Toshiba from they sent it away for repair as it was over 30 days old and said if it wasn't back after six weeks they would replace it.All the arguing didnt change their minds and short of spending more money than a TV would cost on a solicitor we had to live with it.So I would rather pay more and get good service,not everybodies choice but thats life.
