Awning Fitting

We have just traded in our Compass Ralleye for a new Abbey adventura 317. The awning on the compass was a bradcott 870 active. The spec info says the awning should be 895 on the abbey. Will our old awning fit the new van? we are reluctant to change the awning as it is brand new and never been used. I read somewhere the leeway was 30cms in which case we may be lucky. The trouble is the new van is coming middle of June and we have very little time to get a new awning/alter the old one before our 3 week camping trip to france on 1st July.

Cheers

Caroline

Hi Caroline

I am asuming by the figure 870 that is in centimeters, if that is the case then it will not fit a 925 van as it will bearly reach the ground It will not strech. agood repaier will be ale to extend it to fit.I had to do this with mine and it can not be noticed.

The only way to find out if you can get away with it is to try it otherwise get it extended by an awning/tent repairer. I know that Barrons at Chorley do awning alterations.
