Awning for my 2008 Bailey Pageant Prevance

Can anyone recommend a good quality Awning for my new caravan as the dealer wants £600 for one and I think this is a little high priced. I do want a quality awning, just a little cheaper.

The last thing I want is a cheap awning, but we have spent most of our budget on the new caravan, insurance, new towbar and loads of security at home. If we could find a good quality used awning. We would buy that. Just not sure what makes are good and what are not.

Recommend that you try e-Bay - there's always quite a few second hand awnings on there and as long as you read the description carefully you could bag a bargain. People often sell nearly new awnings on there when they upgrade their caravans as dealers don't tend to offer much for them (if anything). You could also try a local caravan dealer who will sell on awnings that have been left in trade-in caravans. Glossop caravans do this near to us so sure that they'll be someone in your part of the country doing the same. Do a Google search for used awnings and you should find something.

We've done the same as you and spent our budget on the caravan and towcar so we've just bought a lightweight porch awning for our first season.

I don't think I would buy a second hand awning off ebay unless I was in a position to view it before I bid, some peoples idea of good condition leave a lot to be desired. As Claire & Rob have said try local dealers or check out the ads in pc magazine, the caravan clubs online trader has loads and I got a bargain on a Bradcot classic on there. Everybody will have a different idea of the best awnings but in my opinion Bradcot , NR awnings , Isabella and Dorema will all do the job, as the saying goes you pay your money and you take your choice.

Spoke to my dealer today and he has a used mint Dorema Montana in Blue. Anyone have anything to say about this awning.
