Awning heater

aving chatted to a couple of people on the subject of heating the awning ( what with cooler nights now closing in ) recomended to get a Halogen Heater - Argos 1.2kw -

Any thoughts and advice would be very much appreciated please

Be very careful where you aim it, a halogen heater will radiate heat a lot further than you would imagine. Point it at an awning side or something as flammable and you may have a fire on your hands.

For the reason above, I would never leave one unattended.

Thanks Paulus - will certainly take your adice on that, was wondering what / if anyone else used to warm the place !

Why not try a small oil filled radiator, they are quite light and are safe. I have Prem-I-Air 700 watt that is very efficiant anfd can also be used inside the van with safety.

We use one of the small filament type heaters on hookup - I do not think it is halogen as it emits a more subdued orange light.

On 12v we use one of the sungas heaters.

Both work fine and take up little space.
