An LED solution is to buy some of the 12 volt strip and build up a bank of strips, wired in parallel.
The LED comes as a ribbon with built/printed on 12 volt bus bar, this you can cut into sections, typically every three LEDs, but it is marked. Not yet tried it myself as getting the cover off my age hardened light is taking too much courage whilst it still works.
I have though kept the link and details as I believe it offers a good solution.
This link gets you in then it is a matter of following its own links.

Sourcing is going to be best via Google for some budget deals; sorry no links for that on file.
Edit: This is an example, though I would seek out cold white for this awning application, it is brighter.

It comes in 5 metres so you can go mad internally with stylish lights with that amount!
