Can anyone recommend a suitable flourescent awning light?

We have seen various makes on websites, but all seem a little small ie. 36" long - this doesn't seem sufficient for a 22ft awning?

Also which ones give off the best light?

Thanks

Hello Frances,

A few years ago I purchased a work light that consisted of a polycarbonate case with a 2D rectanglar flourecent fitting. It was rated at 38W, and when it was hung from one of the awning poles it lights up the whole awning a treat.

Similar work lights are on sale at Wikes and in the Screwfix catalog or online see:

These are of course 230V units but if you do not have a mains supply they will run of a small inverter quite happily.

They are great at home, I have even used them as a foot lights for my local primary schools Christmas production
