Awning Rail Damage

Hi,

Last Autumn the awning rail got damaged when I had to take the awning down in a gale. Unfortunately, it appears that while I thought I was struggling against the wind, the thicker section that goes inside the channel has partly come out and as I have pulled the channel has been opened up - now too wide to hold the awning securely in place in several areas. I know you can get awning rail openers but I cant find a tool to close the channel up. Any advice on tools to use and method would be appreciated.

Thanks

Richie

If it has not opened it up too much, a ball pein hammer and a piece of wood as a load spreader, gently tap it back in shape
