Awning Rail for an Eldis

Does anybody know where I can get my hands on a new awning rail for my 1990 Elddis Cyclone GTX.

I was unfortunate enough to prank my van a few weeks ago and now trying to get a new near side rail and get back on the road.

I have tried the Explorer group but they have discontinued to rail.
 
Some accesory shops/dealers sell lenghts of awning rail. Would it be possible to cut out the bad section and replace it in this way?

Of course you would need to compare profiles to see if its compatable 1st
