Awning rail help

Hi we have a Bailey Senator Oklahoma 2002 ...a few weeks ago while turning into the campsite we caught the bottom awning rail the drivers side of the van ..I would post a picture but not sure how to? ..Does anybody know where i can get a replacement from

Thank you

If it is the bottom awning rail and not the full awning rail that runs round the caravan which secures the awning to the caravan then I can't see a problem in getting hold of several meters of bottom awning rail, if you have a decent caravan dealer with workshops I'm sure they will be able to fix you up, and not a difficult job to replace, 🙂

TY yes it is the bottom rail ..it is where you would feed the skirt through ...but obviously not on the side that is damaged Thanks

Search web for your nearest mobile Approved Workshop man ( or static come to that) You are likely to get a good reply and repair at a good price. Google 'Approved Workshop Service - caravans or similar.

Not sure how badly it is damaged. If it is simply pushed closed I was told by a dealer to open it with a screwdriver blade and managed that. I think there is a tool for that but I managed without.

I had a similar problem a few years back and managed to purchase an awning rail cleaning kit from Go Outdoors.
This kit is supplied by W4 products and consisted of a bottle of silicon spray, a wire pipe cleaner and a small mallet shaped tool, which was used to gently tap the rail back into shape.
This was used on an aluminium awning rail, so not too sure if it will be suitable for your Bailey.
