Awning rail on the house to help with drying air awning at home

Am considering doing this, has anyone else done it?

If so, where's the best place to source awning rail and are there any pearls of wisdom to share?

Yes, I have, I purchased a few lengths of the stuff, I believe from Amazon but cannot be sure. It works a treat.

I did it years ago. Served two purposes, drying the awning out. And an extra party room.

The wall needs to be flat as the rail will follow the contours. So consider fixing a batten first.

Check on the diameter of the piping first. The rails come in a variety of profiles. Not sure what the standard size for caravans is. Perhaps 10mm.

Hi

Did this inside my garage by attaching the awning rail to existing wooden shelves. Very easy to pull awning into the rail and support by two pairs of steps. Allows awning to dry or air if folded up wet or damp.
