Hi All,

Does anyone know how difficult it is to re-fit awning rails. I fell over my awing at the weekend and seem to have pulled it away slightly at the bottom front edge. Should this be done proffesionally or should i attemp to do it myself. I understand that once the bead has been removed its quite simple to re do the screws. Does anyone know of any DIY websites, or is it a job for a proffesionals.

I eagerly await hearing any advice.

Thanx All Tony.

hello Tony, doddle of a job,its probably harder to put shelves up at home.done mine last year 2 days in total for both sides.i suspect 1 side will be in 2 halves.

1,remove bead

2,remove screws

3,remove rail

4,clean rail and van wall.use meths or similar

5,use bedding mastic not sikaflex,

6,apply to roof/wall joint on van,and all the way round rail above and below screw holes.

7,refit rail to van get help dont move it when applied, get it right first time.

8,refit screws any bad holes ,redrill 1" to the side of bad hole.

that easy cheers seth.
