We got hit hard by a pre Storm Agnes storm whilst in SW Ireland; forecast was good for another two days before Agnes was due to hit. Out of the blue winds hits us at 0230, gusts of 90/100mph, porch awning was still up, planned to take it down later that day. The wind ripped the awning off the van, leaving the beading strip and about 30mm of material.
Long story short: found JKC Sewing Ltd just outside Swansea. They specialise in bespoke awnings, sunshades etc but also do caravan awning & tent repairs. Fantastic service and a great price. Beading double sewn back on, front and back stitched, plus a 40 x 30 mm rip repaired for £90 total. Highly recommend these guys.
