awning repairs

hi , we have a bradcot awning, 4 years ago it blew over the top of owe caravan 4 years back the only damage was to the centre eyelet at the top centre , it has not ripped but the eyelet seems frayed & is still useable i wanted to know if thier was a quick fix.. hope this makes sense & could you please help....hasbo

I think most awning repair firms would remove the eyelet, sew a new piece of material over the area (and sew round the hole) and replace the eyelet. Shouldn't be too expensive.

when the same thing happened to our tent I bought some brass eyelets & the fitting tool from our local caravan centre & fitted a new brass eylet over the frayed pole hole on the tent, this held up for years
