Awning Size, any tolerance?

Hi All

I am looking for an awning for my pageant provence and the awning size stated in the books is 1008. I have found a good deal on a used Bradcot awning but the size is only 990.

Is there any tolerance in the manufacturers spec, will the 990 fit??

Dave

there is usually about 10cm of tollerance on most awnings so i would tread very carefully otherwise it might be to small .this is for if you are sighted on a non level site when you put the van up on a ramp to compensate for level then the left wheel will be up off the ground, or right wheel if you need to lift it to get levelthen the awning will be slightly larger

hope this helps

Hi Dave

I have just looked on the Bradcot web-site, there is an ebrochure on PDf wich states that a 990 will fit a van 984-998 and a 1005 will fit 999 - 1013

So the 990 according to bradcot is to small, however is possible to try the awning on your van before you buy, because it may fit

Hope this helps
