I hope there is someone out there who can point me in the right direction where size is the issue lol!. My van awning size is 963cm and the Bradcot sizes are 930, 960, 990 etc etc.Now my question is,will a 930-960 fit ok or do I have to go for the 960-990. The reason I ask about the smaller size is because my last van/awning was an in betweeny also but I was advised by the dealer to go for the bigger size and to be honest it never fitted perfectly and looked a bit on the big side. I dont want to have the same problem again and hoped someone could tell me. I prefer the Bradcot so any info on that make/size greatly appreciated.

Geordie.

Hi Geordie

I used to work for a Caravan company and we always used to advise on the smaller size, so the 930-960 should fit ok.

To doubly make sure, measure the awning rail with string, not forgetting to start and finish at ground level!

I would recommend Dorema, Ventura or if your budget allows, the cream of the crop is an Isabella - this is speaking from a selling point of view (other makes can be troublesome)

Hope this helps

Lolly x

Thanks Lolly, it seems we were sold a bogey then !. I thought the Bradcot would be ok this time because of the size being near as damn it but dont want something sitting miles off the ground, are the others you mentioned good for this size because I know others have different size stages.

Thanks again Geordie.

Hi again

Our first awning was a Venturer and it was really good, I know of someone who has an Isabella, no faults, and we now have a full Dorema and a porch Dorema for our van, perfect fit.

Speaking from a personal point of view, I would, depending on your budget, go for awning in this order:

1) Isabella - they are definately the best quality but expensive

2) Venturer - a close second

3) Dorema - great for someone on a budget

I hope I have not upset the mods or other posters with my choice, as I say it is only a personal preference.

Have you tried ringing your local caravan shop to see what they can get for you? I paid
