Awning sizes

We have Coachman VIP 575/4 2015 and are looking for a new full awning as our old porch one won't fit. The size according to the Coachman tech spec is 1038cm. There is a S/H one locally stated as being 1050cm - would this make much difference ? We usually go to CL sites that aren't dead level and have found with the porch that sometimes it doesn't evenly meet the ground, so I am wondering if an extra 12 cm wouldn't be a bad thing. We have never had a full awning, hence the probably daft questions.
One more question - our new van has a fancy awning track with the gap to feed the awning in in the usual place. Below that there is a bulbous moulding - we assume you feed the awning out of the awning gap, and over this moulding to the ground.

Hi Pinto,
12cm extra would not make much difference as it is only 6cm longer on each side of the van, a way of having it off the ground a little more is to higher the front poles slightly. And you do feed it out over the end trims to the ground.
