awning weight

Will depend on the size of the awning. A 14foot awning is going to weigh a lot less than a 24 foot awning.

I would guestimate around 40kg.

It depends on the type of material. If it is polyester then it will be a lot lighter than canvas. The type of poles also make a difference.

However, unless you have a 'baby' caravan with just a sun shade you are certainly looking at 20 kg minimum and as mentioned up to approximately 40 kg. Do remember this if you carry it on the floor of the van.

Some people feel the expense of having 2 types is justifed. A full canvas type for the UK and a simple shade type for Europe.

Brenda,

If you know what model of Dorema it is have a look on their website. It might list the weight on the description and dimensions section.

Hi again

Not having any luck with dorema website. The awning is a size 14 montana (not the heaviest canvas available) lightweight fibretech frame and then annex with steel pole

It seems every kg counts once over the 30 mark...

Thanks so much

This may be a stupid reply, but have you tried weighing it on bathroom scales? That should give a more accurate answer than people trying to guess.
