Thank you for clarifying that point
But it may well be dear boy that the caravan in question doesn't have exposed or capped screw heads so suckers may be a better option in that case
Mine doesn' t have then but them with the pic I posted it doesn't need them or any other fixing

Would sew the luff (beading) to the cover myself rather than glue in your case JG

for a Bailey arch cover, they are having a LAAAARF. The old 'lift a dot' also lends itself to other caravan uses in its different styles, so others may find a use for it when caravanning if they were not aware of the product
Also you are still pratting around with 3 pieces whilst I only have one so I stil win in my book

Its not about winning
Its about trying to help the OP
Because people make alternative suggestions it doesn't mean that they can't see value in your ideas as well

If you can't spot a joke

I do wonder about this forum
smiley-embarassed.gif

YES exactly, it is all about 'HELP' for other's
smiley-laughing.gif
But it 'doesn't help' when someone has spent time and care to give good advice about a proven tip and solution and supplied supply details and then you post daft "
smiley-surprised.gif
" things about putting self tappers in the side of the caravan when that had already been covered

Been up to the van today (in storage) and find that the wheel arch cover is not fixed on with covered screws! Therefore my dear Watson the plot has changed to favour the sucker method.

Before I had the Bailey wheel arch system I used suckers
One at each top corner with a short loop of elastic to the cover
Lots of people do it like that
Its sometimes possible to hook one end into a Fridge vent etc and then there is only one sucker to fall off

I even screwed a length of awning channel to the side of one van above the wheelarch and had a single piece of awning skirt fabricated with a slot for the pull out step but that involved drilling the van side

What make and model do you have?
Our last two Baileys had fairly large screw caps on the arches so OM's system wouldn't work. Similarly the Swifts of recent years have the mud guards attached from the rear so again no screws to be substituted.
I use the Bailey own cover . Previously I used the rubber suckers with little or no problem. The board John describes is another good neat method.
so it seems to me there is a very god selection here but it all depends on the construction of your mudguards
