Des anyone know what to use to protect my awning zip?nd tend to use the same two doors alternating between the both. On our last awning the zip started to wear and as our new awning is an isabella ( and cost alot!!!) i want to look after it. someone suggested rubbing candle wax on the zip but i'm abit dubious.

Candle wax is fine.....but just a fine rub.....don't cake it in the stuff.....and operate the zip fully several times.....to work it in, so to speak....

(Also, just for info....if using a hand saw to cut wood.....give each side of the blade a quick rub with candle wax...helps the blade run true...)

We had the same problem on our last Bradcot awning. The angle of turn, particularly on the side doors, was too tight causing strain and wear on zip where teeth joined the zip fabric. We have had an Isabella for the last two years, which has just been altered by Isabella to fit our new van,and have no problems as the design is so good that zips move easily and fabric is under a uniform tension. Keep an eye on them, but I would be surprised if you have a problem.
