With a mind to our plans to go to sunnier climes next summer, is it ok to put the awning up without any of the side panels in to use as a sunshade? Im just concerned that the pegging of the corners wouldnt be enough to keep it stable in the event of a sudden change in the weather

You could add a storm strap

thanks reg. Ours has storm straps with it and im pretty sure the anchor points are on the main body so yes we could put those on.

As well as the storm straps to the top of the side poles we found a need for some sort of tie down to the central upright pole which lifted out of the ground in gusty wind.
