bad inhabit service

Hi all I've just pick up my motor home from a service inhabit check and they sed all is ok and no damp. But there is sum rotten damp floor. Is this ok.

Presumably you knew about the floor damp before the van went in?

If so, why did you not point your concern out at that time so that they could investigate?

Hello Dadiewig,
Its impossible for any forum correspondent to pass judgement about the problem you have as we cannot see it or inspect it. Suffice to say the if you do have any rotten flooring then it will only get worse unless something is done about it. The question is it rot or something else?

I suggest you take it up with company who contracted to do the service.

Hi all it's getting better just bin to the motorhome to put sum bin in side and its raining in. what have I paid for. I only pick it up yesterday

Confused.Com

Your first post says; I've just pick up my motor home from a service.
So You owned the motor home previously????
3rd post say's; What have I paid for. I only pick it up yesterday
So you have just purchasd it 🤔 🤔 🤔

Are you sure this post is genuine first he says its a service and then he only picked it up yesterday. If it is genuine and it went in for a service with a rotten floor the service was rubbish but the problem was there before and if the poster knew it and he should have asked about it when picking the vehicle up. It all sounds suspect to me.
Never had a habitation service but is that not a check on the equipment and not the bodywork?

Chipping Sodbury include the habitation check as part of the annual service. It includes water gas electrics and all appliances. Whether a service without the habitation is cheaper I don't know. However for the sake of a few quid I'd rather have it all checked.
If the caravan is still within warranty and guarantee it will probably be a strict condition all habitation items are "serviced" .

Please note that the OP is talking about a motor home NOT a caravan. The habitation check on a motor home is for all things to do with living and exclude any mechanical, or otherwise checks, on the base vehicle (which are covered by the vehicles own service).

Not quite correct.
The Habitation Service on a motorhome does indeed include all the "living" things like gas, electrics, cooker, fridge etc and it does include damp testing including the floor, but also it includes the road lights and towing socket (if fitted), and the Al-Ko rear axle if that is fitted.

Ive just re-read all the post, who has mentioned the OP's language skills?
All we are asking is did he own it or has he just purchased it?

As in the past language on here has never been a problem and every one is welcome I can also re-call a few years back when i defended some ones language skills. Sorry if you took it the wrong way!
