Has anyone had the mains socket under the sink top on a new Burgundy moved by Bailey or one of their dealers due to it being sited in a very silly position, close to the sink (water) so that when the kettle is plugged in the trailing lead is right in your way when seated on the front seats?? I read an article in July 06 Caravan Magazine whereby following a review of the van, Bailey moved the socket due to complaints from the magazine editor.

Philip,

We have just had our Burgundy at the dealers getting warranty work done.

We did ask if Bailey were fitting the plug in a new place retrospectively, but the answer was no.

Having seen another thread on this forum, the plug seemks to have been moved to another ridiculous place,so we'll keep using ours for hoovering only !!!

You have to wonder if the design team are full time or possibly on YTS .

On the Oklahoma the external power point is fitted so that it is 6 inches outside a porch awning.

The bed box that it goes into extends over a foot further back and it could easily have been put in a suitable position but that would have required the "design" team to engage brain or even use a prototype for the purpose for which it was was "designed" !!

The "Gas Box" light is in the bottom of the locker so can't provide illumination if you put anything in there and the lever system for the water pump/tank can never have been tested by anyone using the shower.

Having said that on the whole the Oklahoma is a great van .
