Bailey Burgundy 240v socket?

Hi, will Bailey move the socket from below the sink to the new position under warranty does anybody know. I'm curious to know if it is covered undr warranty and therefore will be free of charge as a safety issue?

Thanks in anticipation

Hello Philip,

The obvious people to ask are your caravan supplier.

Point out that you believe the socket is sited in a dangerous position, (if you can site chapter and verse of the wiring regulations about electric points within a wet area all the better.)

If the position of the socket contravenes the wiring regulations, then the caravan is faulty by design and not fit for purpose, and your dealer should remove or move the socket free of charge.

Do not be fobbed off by the dealer saying it must be done by the manufactuere. The Sale of goods and services regulations are quite clear, it is the seller that is responsible.

You claim against your seller, and in turn the seller claims against the manufacture. Your warranty is not dependant on the manufacture agreeing, that is the dealers problem not yours.

You must seek professional advice and obtain ad written report on the position of the socket and I strongly suggest you visit the CAB or a soliciter for specific guidance.
