Hi folks

We are hoping to buy new for the first time and give up our old 1987 Adria, looking at the above new caravans which is in our price range, and looking for any advice.

Thank you

Its really the one you prefer - things to bear in mind are

the Ranger will probably be replaced later this year with the

alu-tech build by Bailey. The Ranger (as it is now) is of the same type of build as the Elddis and should hold its price.

At the end of the day its what YOU prefer compare each one with

comfort interior fittings etc - find out which make has the better after care service etc.

As the owner of a brand new Ranger GT60 I am very pleased with

my choice. You will get Elddis owners who are pleased with theirs

I also own a Ranger GT60 and am very happy with it. I have read disturbing posts on the Caravan Talk forum re the Xplore. If you go to the site and enter Xplore in the Search box it will come up.

Hi there

The only advice I would give anyone is do not buy a caravan with a flate roof. Make sure it has good run offs so water does not puddle and lay on the roof area. Also as few as possible mastic seals.

I think what Stephen was implying refers only to the flat roofs

that have 2 bars across the top which trap the water and doesnt

let it flow off the roof. He probably has a point as the older

flat roof models have the front and rear panel joints further

down the front/back which lets the water flow over them. Having

said that most manufacturers (other than Baily Alu-tech vans)

build in this way.
